Version History of a Drive File

Each and every change made on a Drive file is automatically saved in Drive. All the edits and changes made can be viewed by other members in the Version History of that file. Follow the steps given below to view the Version History. 

1. Go to drive.google.com and sign into your Beloit account.
2. Locate the file you would like to view the Version History of.
3. Click on the File tab on the top left of the screen
4. On the context menu, click Version History.
5. Then click on See version history. 
6. The Version History interface will appear.
   1. A Version History column will be present on the right side of the screen. This will include history of all the changes made by different people along with their names, time ,and date.  
7. Click on the version you would like to view. 
8. To name that version:
   1. Click on the 3 vertical dots icon. 
   2. Select Name this version. 
   3. Insert new title. 
9. Click on Restore This Version, located on the top left of the screen to restore an earlier version of the file. 

Shortcut to locate Version History-

Located on top of the Drive screen there is a link right next to the Help tab with the name of the person who made the last edit along with the time and date. Click on that link to relocate to the Version History interface.
