Print from MacOS

Overview

Students and staff are able to print documents through their Apple Mac devices to any Release Station on the Beloit College campus using Mobility Print. Supported devices include Macbook, Mac Mini and iMac computers with macOS version 10.10 (Yosemite) and higher.

Setting up mobile printing for MacOS

To begin, set up the printer connections. This is a one-time process.

  1. Download and run the PaperCut Mobility Print Client package.

    • Important: You must be connected to the campus network to download the app.

  2. Double-click the PaperCut Mobility Print Client installer.

  3. Click Continue and then Agree to accept the license agreement, and provide your Mac login password when prompted.

  4. Wait for the installation to finish, then click Close. You can now safely delete the installer package.

Printing from MacOS

If are not sure how to print from your application, take a look at Print from your Mac.

  1. Open the file you would like to print, and select the Print option from the application menus.

  2. Choose the print queue that corresponds with the release station you would like to print to.

  3. Print your document. When prompted, enter your Beloit College network username and password. (Your username is the first part of your email address before the @ symbol.)

  4. Learn more about sending a document to print and releasing your print job.

Note: If you enter the wrong authentication details, macOS devices do not show any warning message; your document will just not print. If your job doesn’t print, check the Print Queue dialog. If the print job is there and has the message Held for authentication, click the resume icon; then re-enter your login details.
