Streaming a Video Via Zoom

If you would like to show a video through Zoom, here are the steps to take.

DVD

If you have a physical DVD that you wish to show:

  1. Ensure you have VLC downloaded.

    1. If you are using a College-owned MAC, you can download VLC in the LITS Self-Service App.

    2. If you are using a PC or a personal computer, visit: videolan.org/VLC to download the app.

  2. Place DVD in disk drive and open using VLC.

  3. Open a Zoom meeting.

  4. Share your screen. Ensure you share your Audio and optimize the settings for video.

Streaming

If you are planning to show a video through a streaming service:

  1. Log-in to the service.

  2. Locate the video.

  3. Open a Zoom meeting.

  4. Share your screen. Ensure you share your Audio and optimize the settings for video.
