The Conversation View feature in Gmail enables users to choose whether replies to emails are to be grouped in conversations or if each email should show up separately in the inbox. Follow the steps given below turn on/off conversation view.

       

  1. Open Gmail and click on the Settings icon located on the top right of the screen.
  2. In the pop-up menu, click on Settings.
  3. On the General Settings tab, scroll down to the section titled Conversation View.
    • Select Conversation View On to group messages. This is the default setting in Gmail.
    • Select Conversation View Off to un-group messages. All messages will be received and stored separately.
  4.  After making the desired changes click Save Changes on the bottom of the Settings screen.
