Overview

Both Canon and Lexmark printer/copiers on campus support duplexing (double-sided printing) in order to reduce the number of pages needed to print multi-page documents. Duplexing when printing and copying is enabled by default, however this setting can be adjusted as needed.

Changing duplex options on a Mac

  1. Open the file you would like to print and choose Print from the application menus.
    • If printing from Google Chrome, also click Print using system dialog.
  2. When the Print dialog appears, select your printer.
  3. Click the Layout dropdown in the middle of the window and select Finishing.
    • If you don't see a Layout dropdown box, click the Show Details button.
  4. Change the Staple dropdown box from Off to On.
    • Note: You can also choose On (Eco (Staple-free)) to staple by crimping page corners.
  5. Click Print.
