Duplex Printing

Overview


Both Sharp and Lexmark printer/copiers on campus support duplexing (double-sided printing) in order to reduce the number of pages needed to print multi-page documents. Duplexing when printing and copying is enabled by default, however this setting can be adjusted as needed.


Changing duplex options on a Mac


  1. Open the file you would like to print and choose Print from the application menus.

    • If printing from Google Chrome, also click Print using system dialog.

  2. When the Print dialog appears, select your printer.


For Sharp printers

  1. Click the Layout dropdown in the middle of the window and select Finishing.

    • If you don't see a Layout dropdown box, click the Show Details button.

  2. Change the Print Style dropdown to the desired setting.

  3. Click Print.


For Lexmark printers

  1. Under Layout, change the Two-Sided dropdown to the desired setting.

    • If you don't see a Layout dropdown box, click the Show Details button.

  2. Click Print.

  1. Open the file you would like to print and choose Print from the application menus.

    • If printing from Google Chrome, also click Print using system dialog.

  2. When the Print dialog appears, select your printer.

  3. Click the Preferences button.




For Sharp printers

  1. Click the Finishing tab.

  2. Change the Print Style dropdown to the desired setting.

  3. Click Print.




For Lexmark printers

  1. Under the Layout tab, below the section labeled Print on Both Sides (Duplex), change the printer setting dropdown box to the desired setting.

  2. Click Print.
