Delete a Group

Google groups can be deleted if need be. However, once deleted groups cannot be restored. Follow the steps given below to delete a group.

1. Sign in to Google Groups.
2. Click My Groups.
3. Identify the group which you would like to delete.
4. Click on Manage
5. Click to expand Information located on the vertical menu on the left side of the screen.
6. Click on Advanced.  
7. Click on Delete this Group.
8. Click on Delete Group in the Delete group confirmation pop-up.  

The group should now be deleted.

Note: To be able to permanently delete a group you must be assigned as the Owner of the group.
