This method allows others to request to join your group. Each request will need to be approved or rejected by the group owner or manager. Follow the steps given below to enable others to request to join.
- Navigate to your group
and click - in Google Groups.
- Click on the gear
icon to enter the “Group settings.”Click Permissions > - /settings icon.
- On the popup menu, click Group Settings
- Expand the Permissions menu item on the left side of the screen.
- Click on Basic permissions.
- Choose who may request to join
your - the group. By default, this is limited to
our domain, but if you want - the beloit.edu domain. If you would like the group to be public you may check the box next to
“Allow - , Allow members external to this
organization.”- organization
- If you do so, it is recommended that you write a
“new - New member question.
” - The question will appear on the group's sign-up page. Submitted answers can be used to determine if a person fits membership criteria.
- Click on the Save button.
Now others will be able to request for group membership.
