After you move your  files and folders into a team drive, all ownership is transferred over to the team drive folder as well. Those files and folders will no longer appear in your personal Google Drive. They'll be owned by the institution. 


Team Drives is a mutual space within Google Drive where groups can without much difficulty access, store and find  their data anytime
