The Paula Black Seminar Room has a ceiling-mounted data/video projector, pull-down projection screen, DVD/VCR, document camera, wall-mounted speakers, Windows PC, and connections for laptop and audio. Â The information below documents how to accomplish common tasks with the a/v equipment in the room.

Projecting the built-in computer
Press the On button on the wall-mounted Extron a/v controller to activate the room a/v system.
Once the projector is up, press the PC button on the Extron controller.
Turn the computer ON using the Power button on the upper right corner of the unit.
The computer can be controlled using the Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse stored on the rack shelf the a/v cabinet.
Audio level can be adjusted using the Volume knob on the Extron controller.
When you are finished using the equipment, please power down all components and press the Off button on the Extron controller.
Please remember to place the keyboard and mouse on the shelf inside the a/v cabinet.

Projecting from a laptop
Connect the laptop VGA cable on the a/v cart to the VGA port on your laptop.
For audio, plug the 3.5mm audio cable into the headphone/audio out port on your laptop.
Press the On button on the wall-mounted Extron a/v controller to activate the room a/v system.
Once the projector is up, press the Laptop button on the Extron controller.
Press the Power button to boot up the laptop.
Press the Power button on the Samsung document camera.
The document camera buttons glow Blue when it is ON, and Red when it is OFF.
Press the INT/EXT button on the document camera to switch from the document camera view (INT) to the laptop view (EXT).
Audio level can be adjusted using the Volume knob on the Extron controller.
When you are finished using the equipment, please power down all components and press the Off button on the Extron controller.

Projecting the built-in document camera
Press the On button on the wall-mounted Extron a/v controller to activate the room a/v system.
Once the projector is up, press the Laptop button on the Extron controller.
Press the Power button on the Samsung document camera.Â
The document camera buttons glow BLUE when it is ON, and RED when it is OFF.
Document camera controls:
The Lamp button turns On/Off the document camera’s built-in fluorescent lamp.
Camera zoom can be controlled using the Zoom +/- buttons.
The Freeze button will freeze the current image on the screen.
The INT/EXT button switches from the document camera view (INT) to the laptop view (EXT).
The AWC button allows you to manually adjust the color balance of the camera.
The AF button adjusts the auto-focus for the camera.
The TXT/IMG button switches camera mode sharpness for either text (TXT) or images (IMG).
The Bright +/- buttons will adjust the brightness of the image.
When you are finished using the equipment, please power down all components and press the Off button on the Extron controller.

Projecting the built-in DVD/VCR
Press the On button on the wall-mounted Extron a/v controller to activate the room a/v system.
Turn the DVD/VCR ON the Power button on the unit.
Insert your VHS tape or DVD.
Once the projector is up, press the DVD/VCR button on the Extron controller.
Control the video using the various buttons on the DVD/VCR remote.
Audio level can be adjusted using the Volume knob on the Extron controller.
When you are finished using the equipment, please power down all components and press the Off button on the Extron controller.
Please remember to return the DVD/VCR remote to the shelf inside the a/v cabinet.
