Library Computer Use Policy
Library Computers
The use of library computers and network resources are restricted to Beloit College students, faculty, staff, and emeriti and are subject to the same policies governing the use of other Beloit facilities, including all applicable state and federal laws, copyright restrictions, and license agreements. The College’s Policy on Ethical Use of Computing and Information Resources applies to the use of library computers.
Public Access Computers
One public access computer is located on the first floor in the Government Documents section. The public computer does not have any installed software and is intended for accessing the library catalog and government documents.
If another patron is waiting to use the computer, a 15-minute time limit will be enforced. It is the patron’s responsibility to log out of all accounts at the end of their session. The computer will reboot after 15 minutes of inactivity, permanently deleting all browsing history and downloaded files.
Guests using their own mobile devices can access Beloit College’s guest wireless network.
Violation of this policy may result in loss of library privileges.
