Operating System Standards

LITS currently supports Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS Monterey (12.x), and macOS Ventura (13.x) operating systems for campus computers and personal computers connecting to the campus network. All campus-owned computers must be purchased by LITS, per the Technology Purchase Policy, and must be enrolled in the associated device management platform to ensure ongoing updates, data security, and central support from LITS staff.

Computer models that can no longer receive OS and security patch update support from Microsoft or Apple will not be allowed to connect to the campus network.
