Google Contact Groups allows allow users to create a contact group name to associate with multiple contacts in order to simplify repeat messaging or sharing. Contact groups exist only within individual Google accounts and are not sharable.  If you need to create a communication group for everyone to access, consider Creating creating a Google Group instead.  Follow the steps below to create a Contact group. 

  1. Navigate to Google Contacts.
  2. Click on My Contacts in the left-side navigation sidebar.
  3. In the main contact pane, click the checkboxes to the left of the names for the contacts you want to add to a group.  
  4. Click on the Group icon located on the top of the window.
  5. In the pop-up Group menu, click on Create New.
  6. A New Group pop-up menu will appearType in a name for the Contact group.
  7. Click on the blue OK button. 
  8. The new group should now appear under My Contacts
