These steps detail how to create a group.

  • Login to your Beloit College Google account and click the app chooser icon in the upper left corner near your profile picture. Select Groups from the pop-out menu.

  • Click the red Create Group button.

  • Enter a name for the group

    To create a Google Group follow the steps given below.

    1. Navigate to Google Groups.
    2. Click on the Create Group button on the top left of the screen.
    3. Enter the Group name. This must be a unique name
    -
    1. as no two groups may have the same name.
    2. Edit the

    1. Group email address if you
    wish
    1. like. The group name is inserted into the email by default.
    2. Add a
    group
    1. Group description. It is helpful to add a description if your group will be open to the public.

    1. Group types: Email List, Web Forum, Q&A Forum, and Collaborative Inbox
    2. Set the

    2. By default a group is private.

  • Click the red Create button at the top of the screen.

  • Note: 
    1. To change it to public see: Make a Group Public .
    2. After filling in all the sections click the Create Group button at the top left of the screen.

          The new group has now been created.
