Google groups can be deleted if need be. However, once deleted groups a group has been deleted, it cannot be restored. Follow the steps given below to delete a group.
- Sign in to Google Groups.
- Click My Groups.
- Identify the group which you would like to delete.
- Click on Manage
- Click to expand Information, located on the vertical menu on the left side of the screen.
- Click on Advanced.
- Click on Delete this Group.
- Click on Delete Group in the Delete group confirmation pop-up.
The group should now be deleted.
Note: To be able to permanently delete a group, you must be assigned as the Owner of the group.
