Moodle (an acronym for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is the open-source online learning management system (LMS) used by Beloit College and supported by LITS. Moodle can be used for posting syllabi, course readings, class forums, assessments, grading, creating online activities for students, and much more.

Beloit College maintains several separate instances of Moodle:

  • Moodle - for all current academic year courses

  • Moodle Archive - for past courses (only accessible on campus)

Beloit College’s Moodle site is available to all current faculty, staff, and students at moodle.beloit.edu.

For more information on Moodle, be sure to review the Learning Management System Policy and check out the detailed documentation on Moodle tools and features below.
