Overview


MI207 has a pull-down projection screen, ceiling-mounted projector and a small a/v cart housing a classroom computer, Blu-Ray player, speaker and connections for a laptop.  The information below documents how to accomplish common tasks with the a/v equipment in the room.

Projecting the built-in computer:


  1. Turn the projector ON using the Power button on the projector remote.
  2. Turn the computer ON using the Power button on the upper right corner of the unit.
  3. Once the projector display comes up, press the Computer 1 button on the remote to display the computer.
  4. Audio volume can be adjusted on the computer using the speaker icon in the taskbar (lower right corner near the clock) or by using the audio adjustment dials on the front of the speaker.
  5. When you are finished using the equipment, please power down all components.

Projecting from a laptop:


  1. Connect the laptop VGA cable or the HDMI cable corresponding port on your laptop.
    1. Mac laptops and mobile devices may require a display adapter (example below).
  2. Turn the projector ON using the Power button on the projector remote.
  3. Once the projector display comes up, press the DVI-I 3 or HDMI 6 button (depending upon which cable you plugged into your laptop) on the remote.
  4. For audio, plug the 3.5mm audio cable on the top of the rack into the headphone port on your laptop.
  5. Audio volume can be adjusted on the computer using the speaker icon in the taskbar or by using the audio adjustment dials on the front of the speaker.
  6. When you are finished using the equipment, please power down all components.

Projecting the built-in Blu-Ray player:


  1. Turn the projector ON using the Power button on the projector remote.
  2. Turn the Blu-Ray player ON using the Power button on the remote, or the Power button on the unit.
  3. Insert your Blu-Ray disc or DVD.
  4. Once the projector display comes up, press the Video 4 button on the remote.
  5. Control the video using Blu-Ray player remote.
  6. Use the knobs on the front of the speakers to adjust volume, treble and bass to the desired level.
  7. When you are finished using the equipment, please power down all components.
    1. Don’t forget to eject your disc!
