SC 101 Keefer-Kang Conference Room
SC 101 Keefer-Kang conference room is a meeting space located on the first floor of the Sanger Center for the Sciences. Presentation technology available in this space includes a touchscreen a/v controller, ceiling-mounted high-definition data/video projector, wall and ceiling-mounted speakers, connections for laptops, video players, and HD devices, and an assistive listening system. There is also a portable conference phone system available for setup upon request to the room coordinator.
The information below documents how to accomplish common tasks with the a/v equipment in the room.

Projecting from a laptop or other video device
SC101 has multiple connection points for HD laptops and devices. These HDMI locations are in floorboxes at the four corners of the room detailed on the map in the room notes. There is also one legacy VGA analog video port on the connections panel next to the sink.
Press the Source button (Laptop 1-4 HDMI or Front Wallplate) on the touchscreen Crestron a/v controller that corresponds with the connection that you have plugged into your laptop to activate the room a/v system.
Once a source is selected, the projector will power on and the screen will descend automatically.
Connect one of the HDMI video cables from a floorbox to the corresponding port on your laptop/device.
If you will be using the connections panel next to the sink, VGA and HDMI cables for this panel are stored in the drawer on the east wall next to the sink.
Some laptops and mobile devices may require a display adapter. A small assortment of display adapters are also stored in the drawer on the east wall next to the sink.
Select the source that you have the laptop plugged into - Laptop 1-4 HDMI or Front Wallplate.
Audio level can be adjusted using the Volume +/- and Mute buttons on the right side of the controller interface.
When you are finished using the equipment, please press the Shutdown button and then Yes to confirm the shutdown of the a/v system.
Connecting and projecting from a DVD/VCR
Note: There is not a video player permanently assigned to this space. You may reserve one as needed by contacting LITS Support.
Press the Front Wallplate button on the touchscreen Crestron a/v controller.
Once a source is selected, the projector will power on and the screen will descend automatically.
Press the Front Composite (RCA) button on the submenu.
Connect the output ports DVD/VCR to the Composite RCA input ports on the connections panel near the sink using the color-coded stereo composite RCA cable supplied with the unit.
Yellow = VideoÂ
Red = Audio right channelÂ
White = Audio left channel
Plug the power cord for the DVD/VCR into an outlet, and press the Power button on the DVD/VCR to turn it ON.
Insert your VHS tape or DVD into the appropriate slot/tray on the player.
Additional controls:
Use the DVD/VCR remote control (supplied with the unit) to navigate and control the cassette tape or disc.
The Video Mute button on the a/v controller will shutter (blackout) the projection without turning the projector off.
Audio level can be adjusted using the Volume +/- and Mute control on the right side of the control screen.
When you are finished using the equipment, please press the Shutdown button and then Yes to confirm the shutdown of the a/v system.
