Reports: Learning Analytics and Accountability

Moodle has a number of reports to aid the process of teaching and learning. These provide information about course events and student performance on assignments and quizzes. We will look at the latter reports in other guides, focusing here on the course log report.

Reports: Logs

The course logs are a good tool for checking on how students are interacting with the course. The logs can be found under Administration > Reports > Logs. The logs tracks most every event within a course from logging in to Moodle, viewing a resource, submitting an assignment or taking a quiz.

This is a helpful and reliable tool when you are attempting to determine when students accessed Moodle, the course, and/or the resources and activities in a course. A teacher may look and see what a student has or has not done in a course.
