Google Hangouts Meet has a built-in screen sharing feature called Present that allows you to share your entire desktop screen or an application window with other users on the call. To access the Present feature:
- Click on the Present Now button on the bottom right of the Call Controls bar.
- Select the method of screen sharing you want to utilize:
- Your Entire Screen - shares your entire desktop screen and all windows with other callers. Users will be able to see anything on any of your screens, including notifications and passwords - use with caution. If you have multiple desktop screens, you will receive a selection menu to choose which screen you want to share.
- Application Window - shares the window of a specific application, such as a Powerpoint presentation, with other callers. You will receive a selection menu from which you can choose which application window you want to share
- Select your screen or application window from the popup menu, then click the blue Share button.
- Your screen is now shared with everyone on the call.
- To exit Present mode, click the Stop Presenting button in the Hangouts Meet window.
Note: When you choose to Present, everyone in the call can see everything on your screen. Make sure your screen is presentable for others to see and that you are not inadvertently sharing any personal information or passwords.
