If your device won't connect to BCNet, some devices need to be manually registered in order to connect to the campus network. Such devices include: game consoles (Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo, etc.), streaming devices or TVs with streaming apps (Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV/Stick, Google Chromecast, etc.), Smart assistants (Amazon Echo, Google Home, etc.), Smart devices (wifi lights, smart home controllers, etc.).
If your device connects to the wired network, you will need to register your device(s) once per academic year. Any device that only connects wirelessly does not need to be registered.
To register a computer/device for wired network access you will first need to take the following steps:
