Canon

Sharp multifunction printer/copiers on campus support finishing options, including stapling, which can be selected when copying documents or when printing from a PC. This option must first be enabled before it can be selected during printing.

Enabling stapling for your

Sharp printer


On a Mac

  1. Click Apple  and choose System Preferences.

  2. Click Printers and Scanners.

  3. Select the

  1. Sharp printer you would like to enable stapling on.

  2. Click the Options & Supplies button.

  3. Click the Options tab.

  4. Change the Output Options dropdown box from “None” to “Staple Finisher”, then click OK.

  5. Close the System Preferences window.

On a Windows PC

  1. Open your installed printers by clicking Start

    • For Windows 7: Press Enter or click on Devices and Printers.

    • For Windows 10: Press Enter or click on Printers & scanners, then scroll down and click the Devices and Printers link

  2. Right-click your

  2. Click the Device Settings tab.

  3. Under Finishing Settings, check the box next to Staple.

    • Note: You can also choose Eco (Staple-free) to staple by crimping page corners.

On a Mac

  1. Open the file you would like to print and choose Print from the application menus.

    • If printing from Google Chrome, also click Print using system dialog.

  2. When the Print dialog appears, select your

  2. Click the Layout dropdown in the middle of the window and select Finishing.

    • If you don't see a Layout dropdown box, click the Show Details button.

  3. Change the Staple dropdown box from Off to On.

    • Note: You can also choose On (Eco (Staple-free)) to staple by crimping page corners.

  4. Click Print.

On a Windows PC
