Overview

MI 208 is a general-use classroom located on the second floor of Morse-Ingersoll Hall.  Instructional technology in this space includes a pull-down projection screen, ceiling-mounted projector, and an a/v lectern housing a classroom computer, monitor, Blu-Ray player, document camera, speaker, and connection for a laptop.  Contents

A/V lectern, 8 tables, 17 chairs, 16 tablet arm desks, 12ft chalkboard, 14ft chalkboard, 18ft chalkboard, instructor's lectern.

Technology

Ceiling-mounted data/video projector, pull-down screen, instructor's a/v lectern with Blu-Ray player, Windows computer, document camera, speaker, connection for laptop and audio.

Special Notes:

  • No food or drink permitted.

  • Notify Security x2355 for access on evenings and weekends.

Projecting the built-in computer


  1. Turn the projector ON using the Power button on the projector remote.

  2. Turn the computer ON using the Power button on the upper right corner of the unit.

  3. Once the projector display comes up, press the Computer 1 button on the remote to display the computer.

  4. Audio volume can be adjusted on the computer using the speaker icon in the taskbar (lower right corner near the clock) or by using the audio adjustment dials on the front of the speaker.

  5. When you are finished using the equipment, please power down all components.

Projecting from a laptop


  1. Connect the laptop VGA cable to the corresponding port on your laptop.

  2. Turn the projector ON using the Power button on the projector remote.

  3. Once the projector display comes up, press the DVI-I 3 button on the remote.

  4. For audio, plug the 3.5mm audio cable into the headphone port on your laptop.

  5. Audio volume can be adjusted on the computer using the speaker icon in the taskbar or by using the audio adjustment dials on the front of the speaker.

  6. When you are finished using the equipment, please power down all components.

Projecting the built-in Blu-Ray player


  1. Turn the projector ON using the Power button on the projector remote.

  2. Press the Power button on the remote, or the Power button on the unit.

  3. Press the Eject button on the Blu-Ray player to open the tray and insert your disc, press the Eject button again to close the tray and launch the disc.

  4. Press the Video 4 button on the remote to display the Blu-Ray player.

  5. Control the video using the Blu-Ray player remote.

  6. Use the audio adjustment dials on the front of the speakers to adjust volume, treble, and bass to the desired level.

  7. When you are finished using the equipment, please power down all components.

Projecting the built-in document camera


  1. Turn the projector ON using the Power button on the projector remote.

  2. Press the Computer 1 button on the projector remote to display the document camera.

  3. Press the Camera button on the top of the document camera.

  4. Camera image controls:

    • The Zoom +/- buttons on the control pad control the zoom level of the camera.

    • The Focus dial on the head of the document camera controls the camera focus.

    • The Freeze button on the control pad will freeze the current image.

    • There is an LED lamp switch on the head of the document camera.

  5. When you are finished using the equipment, please power down all components.
