Instructional technology in this space includes a  ceilingceiling-mounted data/video projector, pull-down projection screen, wall-mounted speakers, wall-mounted a/v controller, connections for laptop, audio and analog video player.

Connecting laptop to VGA cable


  1. Connect the laptop VGA cable on the connections wall plate to the VGA port on your laptop.

    • For audio, plug the 3.5mm audio cable into the headphone/audio out port on your laptop.

  2. Press

  3. Once the projector activates, press

  6. When you are finished using the equipment, please power down all components and press

Connecting laptop to HDMI cable


  1. Connect the laptop HDMI cable on the connections wall plate to the HDMI port on your laptop.

Projecting a video player


  1. Connect the video player to the connections wall plate using either:

    • a composite RCA cable for a DVD/VCR

    • an HDMI cable for a Blu-Ray player

  2. Press

  1.  button on the wall-mounted Extron a/v controller to activate the room a/v system.

  2. Once the projector activates, press:

    • Video source button on the Extron controller for DVD/VCR.

    • HDMI

 source
    •  source button on the Extron controller for a Blu-Ray player.

  1. Turn the video player ON using

 button
  1.  button on the unit.

  2. Insert your tape or disc.

  3. Control the video using the menu and playback control buttons on the video player’s remote.

  4. Audio level can be adjusted using

  1.  knob on the Extron controller.

  2. When you are finished using the equipment, please power down all components and press
